Interview/Herring
Was recently interviewed by a Jewish mag out of Minnesota – http://tcjewfolk.com/poet-with-chutzpah-jake-marmer/. For some reason they dubbed Jewish slam poets as “poet with chutzpah”. Kinda don’t like chutzpah. As vocalized in the interview…
On a separate note, MJL published my piece on herring. ha! The funniest thing about it: a man named Herb emailed me – he googled “shmaltz herring”, found the article, and saw that I mentioned my great-grandmother being from the shtetl called Haschevato. His family is too, from there, going way back. He’s looking for relatives – the Nudelman family. If you happen to be a Nudelman hit me up, I’ll introduce you to Herb.

CAME ACROSS YOUR BOP APOCALYPSE INTERVIEW AND I WOULD LIKE TO HIRE YOU AS MY PRESS AGENT. THANKS FOR HELPING ME TRY TO FIND MORE OF THE NUDELMAN CLAN.
MOST OF MY FAMILY WERE MEMBERS OF A SCHUL CALLED THE CHASHEVATA SOCIETY ALL OF THE MEMBERS CAME FROM THERE. THE CEMETERY IN QUEENS NY IS THE OLD MONTIFURE CEMETERY
IS THE BURIAL SITE FOR MEMBERS OF THAT SOCIETY.A GREAT MANY OF THEM WERE MEMBERS OF MY EXTENDED FAMILY WITH DIFFERENT LAST NAMES.
SOME OF THEM MAY BE RELATED TO YOUR GREAT GRANDMOTHER. I WILL TRY TO GET A LIST OF THE MEMBERS.
